Albaöl

Our classic: Swedish rapeseed oil preparation with a buttery flavor and still purely plant-based. Originally developed for Swedish hospital catering. Discovered by German hospital chefs and dietitians for their patients and brought into the home kitchen by professional and amateur chefs.

The rapeseed oil preparation Albaöl is rapeseed oil from the southern Swedish province of Skåne. The rapeseed used is grown exclusively in Sweden, is natural and not genetically modified.
Albaöl contains no animal ingredients and is therefore suitable for vegans and vegetarians.

Guaranteed origin

Swedish rapeseed oil is used for Albaöl, which is pressed from rapeseed in a very complex mechanical process. This rapeseed comes exclusively from Swedish cultivation. Processing and bottling also take place in Dalby, in southern Sweden.

Favorable fatty acid pattern

Albaöl contains no unhealthy hydrogenated fats and hardly any saturated fatty acids. It consists of 93% unsaturated fatty acids: 64% monounsaturated and 29% polyunsaturated, of which a full 9% are omega-3 fatty acids. Albaöl is also characterized by a favorable ratio of omega-6 to omega-3 fatty acids (2:1).

Shelf life & storage recommendation

Albaöl has a shelf life of 365 days from the date of manufacture.

Albaöl is absolutely free of preservatives, salt-free and contains no milk components (keyword: lactose intolerance). In addition, Albaöl is free of allergens - well beyond the legal requirements - and was the first cooking oil in the world to receive the ECARF allergy seal.

Albaöl meets the requirements of the “Guidelines for Edible Fats and Oils” of the German Food Code Commission. The maximum values ​​for acid number and peroxide number required there are far below.

Albaöl for frying: The smoke point of Albaöl is around 220 °C, making it ideal for frying.
